Plastic has become so accessible and practical to use that it is nearly impossible to get rid of it. The environmental impact of this material is huge, since it takes around 500 years to decompose. We continue to use it because of its convenience and because we do not see all of our plastic waste accumulate.

By using plastic cups as building blocks, this installation creates walls that play with light and shadow to give scale and volume to our trash. The structure of the walls (cups filled with soil) and the tree act as a symbol that reflects our current situation of trapping the earth in plastic.
