ITALY + GREECE

During the first week in Greece, we began in Santorini, then on to Akrotiri, Knossos, Mycenae, and an introduction to the sanctuaries at Olympia and Delphi. The second week began in Aegina before on to Athens. The third week, we visited Epidauros and Southern Italy and Magna Grecia including Taranto, Metapontum and Paestum, and finally to Sorrento with a train trip to Pompeii. The next two weeks were spent in Rome, with day visits to Tivoli and Ostia. The last two weeks we traveled north to Florence and Venice with side trips to Siena, Pienza and Vicenza.
